MidiWave - A Windows program which allows conversion of a WAV file
to a MIDI file. A WAV file is a sampled sound file which represents
an arbitrary sound by high-rate digital samples of its amplitude, while
a MIDI file represents a musical sound or sequence in terms of a
timed series of events, such as Note On, Note Off, and Patch (or Instrument)
change. Conversion between the two formats is as much an art as a science,
and MidiWave is a still-evolving attempt to master the art. The download

Indexed Gedcom Method programs - A set of PERL programs which is
used to format and present genealogical data on the Internet. It is used
to create and operate our attached
family genealogy page. This is
a suite of programs originally developed by Tim Doyle and extended by Randy
Winch, and further extended by me to display tabular formatted pedigree and
descendency charts. The Indexed Gedcom Method (IGM) uses a standard GEDCOM file
as input and produces a relatively small number of permanent HTML and index
files. Most of the HTML files which are sent to a user are formatted on the
fly at user request. If you download it, you should also download and print
the setup instructions.

FindAGrave_Downloader -
A Windows program (or robot) which allows automated, recursive download
of genealogical data from the FindAGrave.com website. The genealogical content of this
site has expanded greatly in recent years, but it can be difficult for a researcher to
navigate page-by-page through all the data to incorporate it into their own databases.
This program attempts to make this process easier by performing automated, recursive
downloads of information from the online database. The datasets are saved as standard
GEDCOM files which can be imported into any of the major genealogical database programs.
The download file is an installation program.
Download it to your hard disk and double click it to unpack the program and
its help file to the current directory.

Backup -
A Windows program which allows backup of a system hard drive, or portions of it, to protect against crashes or other loss or corruption of data.
The program performs an incremental backup; i.e. only the files which have changed since the last backup are copied.
Specific filetypes and directories can be excluded from the backup. A particular strength of the Backup program is its handling of orphan files, which
are files or directories which exist in the destination directory, but do not presently exist in the source directory. Orphan files can severely
complicate the task of recovering from a crash. The Backup program allows examination and selective deletion of these orphan files.
The download file is an installation program.
Download it to your hard disk and double click it to unpack the program and
its help file to the current directory.
